Frequently Asked Questions

Should I seal my pavers?

It is not necessary to seal pavers. Sealing will make the paver color a little darker and more vibrant. It will also help retard fading of the paver color and protects from some stains. We recommend waiting 3 months before sealing to allow the pavers to completely cure. Once sealed you will need to reseal every two to three years.

How can I prevent weeds and ants from the paved surface?

While this is not a major problem with pavers using a sealer is an aid in reducing it further. Liquid insecticides and weed killers can also be used safely.

What is the warranty on my pavers?

Depending on the manufacture the product will be warranted for either 10 or 20 years. Labor and Installation has a 2 year warranty.

What else do I need to know?

Pavers are manufactured in batches. A batch is approximately 300 to 500 square feet. It is possible that colors may very slightly in a batch.

Efflorescence: this is a white powder like substance that may appear on the pavers as they cure. This does not mean the pavers are defective. It is a natural process and will eventually disappear. It can also be removed by broom brushing with one part muratic acid and three parts water.
